Photograph a receipt and Split Jar reads the line items on your iPhone. Tap who had what, add tax and tip, and it works out exactly what each person owes. Every share adds up to the total, with no cent created or lost.
What it does
Reads the receipt on your phone. Text recognition runs on the device. Nothing is uploaded, and you can fix any line it gets wrong.
Tax and tip, shared your way. Each one equally, or by what each person ordered. Shared dishes can go to everyone at the table.
A running balance. Say who paid each bill and Split Jar keeps track of who owes whom, then works out the fewest payments to settle up.
A card for each person. Send everyone their own share, with their items listed.
Your currency. US dollars by default; Canadian dollars, euros, pounds, dirhams, riyals and dinars in Settings, with dinars to three decimals.
Templates for bills that repeat, like rent or utilities.
What it doesn’t do
There is no account, no sign-in and no syncing, and nobody else needs the app. Your splits stay on your iPhone. Anything you share goes through the share sheet, only when you choose to send it.
