The pin is a little off, especially in a garage.
GPS is weaker indoors and underground, so a pin inside a parking structure can be off by some distance. That’s what the note and photo are for: tap Add note or photo and write the level and section, or take a picture of the sign by the car.
I didn’t get a meter reminder.
Reminders need notifications to be on for Car Crumb: Settings → Notifications → Car Crumb. You get one 10 minutes before the meter runs out and one when it does. A Focus or Do Not Disturb setting can hold them back.
Where did the meter timer go?
The Meter timer and Parking cost sections fold away so the screen stays simple. Tap the section’s title to open it. While it’s folded, a running meter still shows the time left.
The walk back says it can’t find a route.
Walking directions come from Apple Maps and need an internet connection. Without one, Car Crumb still shows the straight-line distance to the car. Tap Recalculate once you’re back online, or Open in Apple Maps.
How do saved spots work?
Save a place you park often, like the office garage, with a name and a note. Next time, open Saved spots and tap Park here to pin the car there without waiting for GPS.
Why is my parking cost in a different currency?
Each payment uses your iPhone’s region at the time you log it, and keeps that currency. Totals are kept separately for each currency, so euros from a trip are never added to dollars.
How do I get my parking costs out?
Open Parking costs and tap Export CSV. The file opens in Numbers, Excel or Google Sheets, with the date, time, amount, currency, place and note of every payment.
Do I need an account or internet?
No account. Pinning, notes, photos, reminders and costs work offline. The map and walking directions need a connection.
Can I move my spots to a new phone?
They move with a normal iPhone backup and restore, or a phone-to-phone transfer. The app has no syncing of its own.
